Responsibilities
- Patient sick/well visits
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams and patient evaluations
- Medication requests
- Review of patient testing/labs
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Complete medical documentation accurately and timely within the EMR
- Promote preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, self-care skills, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications through education and counseling
Requirements
- License/Certification: Maintain compliance with the Virginia Board of Medical Practice requirement for State Licensure. Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. DEA licensure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Comfortable with technology and electronic medical records
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Complete medical documentation accurately and timely within the EMR
