Join a full-time inpatient behavioral health assignment caring for adult and adolescent patients while working alongside psychiatrists in a collaborative practice with teaching opportunities.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient behavioral health coverage for patients ages 8 and older
• Diagnose psychiatric conditions, perform admission histories, psychiatric assessments, physicals, and daily rounds
• Manage ongoing care through collaboration with supervising psychiatrists
• Work alongside experienced nurses, social workers, recreational therapists, and behavioral health support staff

Schedule

• 20 to 22 shifts per month
• Monday through Friday with one weekend per month
• Day call 1:3 and night/weekend call 1:4
• Scheduled clinical hours with phone and beeper call coverage

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Active Iowa license required
• Board Certified in Psychiatry
• BLS and DEA required
